Internationally renowned choreographer, Gilles Jobin has created, since 1997, a series of pieces which have granted him with the enthusiasm of both the audience and the critique. Asserting a choreographic writing outside of the established aesthetics, he has become over the last ten years a leading figure of a new generation of independent Swiss choreographers. Besides his own dance productions, he has made of his company and of his Genevan headquarters of Studios 44, a pioneering place for the recognition of contemporary dance in Switzerland, and for stimulating international exchanges.
